The Game I’ve Played the Longest: Honor of Kings
The Game I’ve Played the Longest: Honor of Kings

You know how people go through phases with games? Like, they’re super into something for a few weeks, then just move on to the next? Yeah, I’m like that too. Or at least, I was—until I met Honor of Kings.

Honestly, I didn’t expect to get so into it. I downloaded Honor of Kings on a random day because a couple of friends wouldn’t stop talking about it. They were all like, “Come on, just one game!” So I caved… and boom, that was it. I’ve been playing ever since.

What’s wild is how Honor of Kings just keeps me coming back. It’s not just about the gameplay—though the matches are super fun and sometimes pretty intense. It’s everything around it. The constant updates, new heroes dropping all the time, the skins (some of which are absolute 🔥), the events… There’s always something going on.

I’ve tried other MOBAs too—League of Legends, Arena of Valor (which is basically the international version of Honor of Kings), even a few random ones I found online. But nothing hits quite like Honor of Kings. It just feels right. The controls are smooth, the pace is perfect, and you don’t need to spend hours to feel like you did something meaningful.

Another thing that keeps me glued to Honor of Kings? The people. I’ve made actual friends through this game. We’ve played late into the night, yelled on voice chat after crazy wins (or crushing losses), and even joined some amateur tournaments for fun. It’s not just a game anymore—it’s part of my routine, part of my social life.

Sure, there’ve been moments when I’ve gotten frustrated. Meta shifts, toxic teammates, a losing streak that made me want to uninstall the whole thing… But somehow, I never do. I always end up opening the app again, just to check in—and then I’m sucked right back in.

Even now, years later, Honor of Kings is still the one game I never delete from my phone. And that’s saying something, considering how often I switch things up. No matter how many new games drop, I always find myself circling back.

So yeah, out of all the games I’ve played over the years, Honor of Kings is the one I’ve spent the most time with. It’s fun, it’s familiar, and honestly, it just never gets old.

If you’ve never played it, give it a shot. And if you have—well, you get it.
